Awarded to Environmental Services, Inc. of Kansas City, Missouri, the project included 166 – 54″ and 66″ diameter, permanently cased, space-tangent drilled shafts along each side of the creek. The design of the shafts included permanent casing using CORTEN weathering steel. Additionally, 65 – 36″ diameter drilled shafts with 30″ rock sockets were installed to retain the railroad embankment for a new bridge crossing the channel.
