Arrowhead Stadium renovation was a 400 million dollar project designed to widen the concourses on all three levels, provide for a new press box and build a new office building and practice facility.
Our contract with Turner Construction Company for the drilled shafts was a turn-key operation including layout, drilling, concrete and rebar and removal of all spoils. The stadium renovation required the installation of 170 shafts up to 78″ in diameter and 75′-0″ in depth. Also included in our scope were the installation of 174 high capacity permanent rock anchors for the stadium footings, the installation of a drilled shaft tangent wall and the installation of the drilled shafts for the new office building. The project schedule was extremely tight and called for very high liquidated damages which were avoided due to our aggressive scheduling.
